Aureon shuts down. Certivity ensures continuity beyond the transition.

More than a migration. Upgrade the way you manage regulatory information.

In close collaboration with the Mercedes-Benz Aureon team, we designed a seamless migration path from Aureon to Certivity. Your trusted regulatory content remains fully accessible while you gain powerful new capabilities including AI-powered search, intelligent summaries, document comparison, impact analysis, and advanced regulatory workflows. All with the same uncompromising quality, accuracy, and reliability you depend on.

With AUREON today

  • Regulations tracked as a flat, chronological list of changes
  • Search based primarily on exact wording and filters
  • Depending on the source and availability, regulations are provided in either consolidated and digitized format or as PDF documents
  • Complicated version history
  • Drafts and amendments often available only as PDFs
  • One shared workspace for all customers, with no self-service user management
  • No add-on functions for regulatory management

With Certivity going forward

  • A full regulatory intelligence platform organized by region and category, not a flat change log
  • AI based semantic search that also identifies relevant results when wording or formatting differs
  • All regulations in all regions are always consolidated and digitized
  • A consolidated version history for every regulation, including upcoming amendments
  • Full-text digitization of every document, including drafts, searchable and AI-summarized
  • Optional dedicated workspace with self-service user management, SSO, branding, and AI-powered document chat
  • Additional capabilities available based on your organization’s needs

Chosen for its capabilities.

Everything you need to know about the migration

Overview & Timeline

Do I have to move to Certivity?

You are free to decide on your future platform and provider for regulatory information management.

However, as part of the Mercedes Aureon migration, the Aureon and Certivity teams have worked closely together to perform a comprehensive analysis, mapping, and synchronization of the underlying regulatory data. This includes a one-to-one mapping between Aureon and Certivity data structures, enabling a seamless exchange of information and minimizing the impact on existing internal processes and integrations.

This preparation allows existing regulatory content to be migrated efficiently while preserving the structure and quality you rely on. As a result, the transition effort for customers can be kept to a minimum and any required adjustments can be implemented quickly.

This page is designed to support you throughout your transition process should you decide to migrate from Aureon to Certivity.

When does the transition need to be completed?

Aureon is scheduled to cease operations on December 31, 2026. After that date, access to the Aureon platform will no longer be available. We recommend starting the transition process well in advance to allow sufficient time for contracting, IT security reviews, onboarding, and technical setup.

Can we use Certivity before Aureon is discontinued?

Yes. Early access to Certivity will be provided as part of the transition and onboarding process. This allows your teams to become familiar with Certivity before Aureon ceases operations.

Migration Process

Do I need to migrate any documents or content myself?

No, you don’t have to migrate any regulatory content yourself. If you have internal processes that rely on links, exports or integrations, we will individually review this with you in your migration call and make sure it works smoothly.

Does Certivity cover all regulations and regions currently available in Aureon?

Yes. Certivity covers the same scope and even adds special content for additional vehicle categories.

All content in Certivity is fragmented at paragraph level, which unlocks features like AI-powered summaries, cross-references between regulations, and direct links to source documents, making regulatory work significantly faster.

I regularly use the ReqIF export function. Will this still be available?

Yes, in Certivity every document is exportable. During your initial migration call, we will review how you currently use Aureon ReqIF-exports, including the target system, format, frequency, and any update processes. Based on this information, we will confirm the appropriate setup and any technical requirements.

What happens to links that currently point to Aureon?

Existing Aureon links will not automatically redirect to Certivity. During the migration process, we will review the affected references and help you identify the corresponding content or location in Certivity. Where relevant, we will also discuss how links used in internal systems or documentation should be updated.

Contracts & Security

Will I need to sign a new contract?

Yes. Certivity is an independent technology provider, and the use of the Certivity platform requires a separate contractual relationship with Certivity GmbH. Your existing Aureon agreement will not automatically transfer. Our team will guide you through the required commercial, procurement, data protection, and security steps.

Is Certivity ISO/IEC 27001 or TISAX certified?

Yes. Certivity is certified according to ISO/IEC 27001, the internationally recognized standard for information security management systems as well as according to the TISAX Framework L2 High developed by the automotive industry. The certification confirms that Certivity operates a structured and independently audited information security management framework. Certivity's platform is also aligned with GDPR requirements, ensuring sensitive engineering and regulatory data remains protected at all times. Further information is available through the Vanta Trust Center.

Your Migration Call

Who should participate in the initial migration call?

We recommend involving the current platform and/or contract representative. Additionally, we strongly recommend early involvement from Product Engineering, as well as attendance from Regulatory or Compliance, Purchasing, IT, and IT Security. Where exports, APIs, or internal systems are involved, the corresponding technical stakeholders should also participate.

What information should we prepare for the migration call?

It is helpful to provide information on your current Aureon package and regulatory scope, the number and type of users, your internal platform owner and key stakeholders, any exports, APIs, links, or connected systems, procurement and supplier onboarding requirements, IT security, data protection, or AI approval processes, and your preferred onboarding and go-live timeline.

Who can I contact if I have questions?

You can use the contact form on this page to request a migration call or submit a question. A member of the Certivity migration team will contact you and coordinate the next steps.
